Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo are now opening up about what led to their shocking split.
Sparks made a guest appearance on this morning’s Today Show after she was asked how she was handling the split.
“I’m good, actually. The funny thing is I read this quote, ‘When something unexpected happens in your life or you think something bad happens, just say, plot twist! And move on.”
Sparks’ response confirmed her earlier sentiments last week, when she wrote a tweet that read:
“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
Meanwhile, Derulo stopped by On Air with Ryan Seacrest and was honest about what was really taking place in their relationship.
When asked whether he or Sparks were in a good place yet, Jason answered honestly.
“I wouldn’t say good terms. I’ll be lying if I said that, but it’s not a bad situation. There’s no bad blood. We didn’t end off on a weird way or a negative way. It’s not like we’re hitting each other up, like, ‘Hey, what are you doing today?”
The duo were linked to one another back in September 2011, but it wasn’t until January 2012 when they made their relationship public.
