With my second half marathon approaching in six short weeks, I started thinking about two years ago when I decided to run my first half marathon and what motivated me to sign up. After I graduated from high school in 2012, my fitness level consisted of the occasional cardio workout, a Zumba class here or there and maybe a walk or jog outside. On Thursday, Kanye West stopped by Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show again, only this time, he wasn’t so angry. West spoke about his collaboration with Adidas, his upcoming album, why Drake is so hot right now, and even began crying.
When Kanye’s Yeezy Boosts released a few weeks ago, fans were shocked by the high price of $350. They thought the whole point of his collaboration with Adidas was to make products affordable. While West cannot control the price right now, he said he is working on it.
“Nothing should be exclusive. Everyone should have an opportunity to drink from the same fountain. The idea of exclusivity is a new colored people fountain. We have to reboot that mentality for an entire generation.”
